Gifted Curators offers “DC weed at its finest.” One of our cannabis connoisseurs, Kushn-Pain, sampled some legendary strains from
Gifted Curators to review for Urban Aroma readers. Read on for Kushn-Pain’s review of the East Coast OG, Sour Diesel. True gas.
Sour Diesel
Spicy, candy, citrus earth tones jump out at me like potpourri. A deep respiration brings joy, and upon exhale I catch the Diesel aroma/flavor. Yum. Trichomes, gooey hairs and sticky globs, oh my. The bud color is a pastel lime with translucent hairs, and slight reddish hints beneath white.
This strain fails my Two Tokes Test, when I take a pre-hit warm up, and cough myself into a nice head with one toke. The lemony, earth flavored
clouds wafting about as I catch my breath are quickly forgotten. An 'I feel great' sensation washes over my face, head and body. Tensions and anxiety melt, and my neck, shoulders and back feel mellow.
This is a great strain for handling daily duties, as the 90/10 sativa dominance and
CBD and CBN balance its 23% THC, offering an alert ease. Of course the
terpenes caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene play their roles, making Sour Diesel an enjoyable mind-body experience.
The genetics of Sour Diesel are questionable. Everyone agrees on Chemdawg 91, but whether Super Skunk or Mexican Sativa is the other progenitor is open for debate.
Rating: A 9.5 out of 10, especially if you’re a sativa freak. I would recommend this strain for anyone, unless you’re looking to sleep. As always, noobs should ease into this space suit and get ready to blast off like a Tesla satellite launch.
