Strain Review: Dutch Treat (DC)
Gifted Curators offers “DC weed at its finest.” One of our cannabis connoisseurs, Kushn-Pain, sampled some legendary strains from Gifted Curators to review for Urban Aroma readers. Read on for Kushn-Pain’s review of the legendary Dutch Treat. Flower power!
Dutch Treat
Chocolate green red-haired undertones in a thick dew of trichomes are a genuinely wonderful sight to behold on this bud. When I break up the Dutch Treat, subtle spicy, fruity earth fragrances waft from the small, well-manicured flower. The buds are light, dense and nicely (giftedly!) cured. It’s time for my ️Two Tokes Test. Wowsers. Spicy, sweet, earth, and mint clouds around me as a light sweat beads my brow. Holding the hit for over 30 seconds, I feel an upper head sensation upon exhale. The ride continues higher, leveling out after 15-20 minutes for a nice elevation that lasts a few hours. Ultimately it reaches my neck and shoulders and down to my lower back, giving a relaxed, stoney-though-awake feeling. It's a medium-heavy, smooth smoke. The Dutch Treat lineage is famed for sure. It comes from Northern Lights (indica) x Skunk (hybrid) x Haze (80/20 sativa), making for a potent, creative lifted state. The cannabinoids list is extensive as the Amsterdam staple has had plenty of time for study under less strict legal conditions. CBD, CBC and THCV are all less than 1%, and CBG is at 1%. Science is limited on the effects of CBG, though it’s thought that it may be good for relieving stress or panic. The dominant terpenes in Dutch Treat are terpinolene, myrcene, and ocimene. Rating: 9.7 out of 10. Smaller hits for noobs as this flower feels to be +23% THC, which is considered to be on the higher end of the flower power scale.
