The state of New Jersey amended their state constitution to legalize the recreational use of cannabis. It allows the state to establish a complete market for recreational cannabis from cultivation to distribution to sale. The following municipalities have either restricted or banned cannabis sales and use:
- Oceanport
- Cinnaminson Township
- Hazlet
- Middletown Township
- Toms River
- Brick
- Freehold Township
The details of how many recreational licenses will be granted in New Jersey, how much opening a dispensary will cost, and other details haven't been finalized yet as of 12/21/2020.
