Gelato OG Strain Review

Gelato OG Strain Review
Gifted Curators offers “DC weed at its finest.” One of our cannabis connoisseurs, Kush-n-Pain, is sampling legendary strains from Gifted Curators to review for Urban Aroma readers. Read on for Kush-n-Pain’s review of Gelato OG.

Gelato OG

This cultivar is a cross of Gelato x True OG or OG Kush. The Gelato strain is a cross of S.S. Sherbet x Thin Mint. Gelato OG is one of those gassy, grassy looking strains. Clearly the dominance of the Kush is pushing the appearance of the buds, while the flavorful Gelato balances the terpenes out with a lemony aroma.

Two Tokes Test

The creative euphoria and psychoactivity of Gelato is lightly tamed by the true OG presence, which creates an indica-dominant feel. The citrusy, hoppy spiced earth tones start as a magic carpet ride, until myrcene and humulene pull the rug out from underneath you, and you fall into relaxation.

The Breakdown

Cannabinoids

  • Lab results show +25% THC, which gives me a good heady feeling on my temples and top.

Terpenes

  • Limonene
  • Myrcene
  • Humulene

Final Hit

Whilst it will aid in sleep, the limonene lift will allow for a calm, alert state of over an hour for the experienced smoker. However after a long day, an hour after smoking Gelato OG I have a heavy head and rubber neck, and my evening ends in droopy-eyed slumber. Rating: On the Ephrata 1-10 scale, Gelato OG is an 8.75.
