OG's Pearl Strain Review

OG's Pearl Strain Review
Gifted Curators offers “DC weed at its finest.” One of our cannabis connoisseurs, Kush-n-Pain, is sampling legendary strains from Gifted Curators to review for Urban Aroma readers. Read on for Kush-n-Pain’s review of OG's Pearl.

OG's Pearl

Gooey-looking green boulders are staring back at me peeping them through the jar. As I twist the container a broken bud appears, showing off cobwebs of trichomes along the stalk reaching deep into the flower. There are also reddish hairs to be seen in the fully formed yet lightweight nugs.
What first comes to mind when I pop the top is SweetTarts candy, quickly chased by Nag Champa. This child of Frankenstein x Lemon OG Kush is fragrant like a teenager's socks after a sweaty day — you smell 'em everywhere.

Two Tokes Test

The exhale is spicy on the nose, but the flavor is tangy, woodsy earth. As for lift, this sucker is quick to hit the dome and central nervous system. The effects of OG's Pearl are reputed to come and go quickly, and I have to agree. It also suggests an at least 1% THCV component known for that swift in-and-out effect.
Noobs may be thrown into a panic attack, so dose responsibly. However, the experienced will find Pearl OG useful for not crushing down for hours, if they need to be sociable or complete tasks.

The Breakdown

OG's Pearl is a cross of Frankenstein x Lemon OG Kush.

Cannabinoids

Lab results show:
  • THC: 17-26%
  • CBD: 1%
  • CBG: 1%

Terpenes

  • Myrcene  -mango, hoppy, herbal, earthy, sedative, anti-inflammatory
  • Pinene - pine, rosemary, dill, bronchodilator, memory aid
  • Limonene - citrus, uplifting, anti-depressant

Final Hit

OG's Pearl is really a fun stoney-headed quick trip. The pain-relieving myrcene, memory-retentive pinene and limonene lift make this ideal for productivity. The fast cerebral rush says it will also service end-of-dayers ready for bed as the THC puts in work. There's also a small amount of CBD and linalool, but the antispasmodic value is  limited.
Rating: On the Ephrata 1 - 10 Scale I give this an 8.9, though after a week or two curing in the jar methinks this will push to a low +9.
